27 Lens Colors, Polarized or Not
Chemistrie Sun comes in 27 colors: 24 polarized and 3 non-polarized. The polarized lenses come in three styles.
- Solid: Grey, Brown, G-15, Bronze, and more.
- Mirror: Blue, Gold, Silver, Caliente, and more.
- Gradient: darker at the top and lighter toward the bottom.
The three non-polarized options are there for a reason. Some screens, like car dashboards and gas pumps, can look dark or striped through a polarized lens. NP Grey, NP Brown, and NP G-15 keep them readable.
Glare Control and 100% UV Protection
Polarization cuts the glare that bounces off roads, water, snow, and car glass. A plain tint mostly makes everything darker. Every Sun clip, polarized or not, gives 100% UV protection (UVA and UVB). How dark a lens looks tells you nothing about its UV protection, so there's no need to pick the darkest one.
Photochromic lenses often stay light in the car, because the windshield blocks the UV that darkens them. A Sun clip needs nothing to switch it on. It works the moment it's on your glasses.
Made to Fit Your Frames
Each clip is measured and cut to the shape of your lenses, so it follows their outline and leaves your frame in view. Small 2 mm neodymium magnets are set into your prescription lenses near the edge, out of your main line of sight. No clamps or springs press on your frame. Made and used properly, the clip is designed not to scratch your lenses or damage your frame.
It works with virtually any frame: full-rim, semi-rimless, and rimless. Running, biking, and fishing are fine. Leave it off for swimming, and for contact sports, where a knock to the face can dislodge it.
