The Reader clip comes in powers from +0.50 to +2.50, in 0.25 steps. The power you choose is added on top of your current prescription, so it works like the "ADD" on a prescription, not like a drugstore reader strength. A stronger power brings your focus closer. More power is not automatically better.
You don't need a prescription to order one.
